Jarrod Scheunemann, M.S., (University of Illinois) Park & Recreation Management
Jarrod is the Community Services and Education Coordinator for the Office of Recreation and Park Resources (ORPR), a branch of the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism. He consults, evaluates and provides staff development for administrative staff, supervisors, and practitioners in public and private recreation agencies. Jarrod also conducts applied research related to planning, policy, trends and restoration. His interests and experience include customer service, geographic information systems and environmental education and interpretation.

Lara Browning, M.L.A., (University of Georgia) - Landscape Architecture
Lara is the landscape designer for the Office of Recreation and Park Resources and a lecturer for the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism. Within ORPR, Lara oversees student teams in research, community engagement, and interdisciplinary design that promote healthy living in Illinois.
Lara’s interests include:
- Environmental design and human behavior
- Community-based design of recreational areas
- Healthy living by design
Lara received her Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Wellesley College.

LoriKay Paden, M.S. (ISU), CPRP - Health, Physical Education, Recreation Administration and Dance
LoriKay Paden is a trainer/consultant for the Office of Recreation and Park Resources at the University of Illinois. Within ORPR Paden conducts evaluation of recreation facilities and programs and facilitates classes and workshops for park and recreation practitioners in customer service planning, program evaluation, health and fitness, and the benefits of parks and recreation.
Her primary role within the University is her position as the Academic Advisor and instructor for the Department of Recreation Sport and Tourism.
Paden is active with the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). She currently serves as Chairman of Board of Directors. She has served on a variety of committees and she is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences.

Clint Lum
Clint is a graduate student in the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. He is specifically interested in the interaction between people and natural resources in both urban and wilderness settings. Clint is also active with the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA).

Kerri Schiller
Kerri is a graduate assistant for the Office of Recreation and Park Resources and is glad to do whatever she can to encourage people to get out and play. She is a first year PhD student in the Recreation, Sport, and Tourism department where she is studying play and how it benefits adults.
